Lately we have had several jobs arise that involved skylines of city buildings. As usual, we needed to submit samples in various styles for client approval. This particular sample was created by Ron Magnes for a photographic shoot and was submitted as a possible style for a new project. We will show those jobs that involve Pittsburgh in a future blog.

Recently a client requested a “cartoon” illustration by George Schill but was not sure of the exact style that would work for the project. This certainly is not an uncommon request even after a buyer has viewed the artist portfolio on our web site. To help with finding the right cartoon “look” George created this pdf file to help in the decision making.
Bob Scott’s assignment was to create a logo visual for the Steel City Road Runners Club. This was to be part of the annual Pittsburgh Marathon to be held in May, 2012. The client asked for a 1930’s “socialistic” style – stylistic & graphic. After a series of concept rough sketches Bob came up with this illustration and the client added the typeface.

His programs of choice include 2D Photoshop, 3D Lightwave, Cinema4D, Unity3D, Silo2, Modo, and Web/OS game programming Unity3D. Recently he has created interactive worlds for new platforms such as the iPhone/Pad/Touch devices using Unity3D game engine.
