John Walker recently created several illustrations for an English textbook in the UK. The story is about how a terrible storm descended upon a village many years ago. This illustration depicts one of the main characters – created digitally.

It appears that several companies have re-introduced famous icons of their company that were very popular decades ago. This is a good example – H.J. Heinz Mr. Aristocrat Tomato Man! He was originally created in the 1930’s and our client had John create a new illustration very similar to the original to be used for various purposes. A classy guy!

Dynamite Doodles Book by Peter Grosshauser

Over the last few years Peter Grosshauser has illustrated many doodle, maze, & puzzle books for children. This is a recent one that was completed for Publications International. It’s a Doodles to Go! book for kids that contains well over one hundred illustrations and is chock full of doodle projects for children to complete. They can sketch, use grids to copy drawings, make sticker designs, and use all kinds of fun supplies to create their own doodles. Enclosed are two pages from the book using Peter’s fun and zany characters!

Client Sample Page by George Schill

From time to time clients sometimes request an artist sample page to use in a meeting or presentation to help sell a style. This is a recent example that George Schill quickly put together for a client meeting. The idea was to show a few “style” examples that were conceptual in nature. All images were past commissioned projects and helped the client sell their idea.

Pop Art Logos by Ron Magnes

Direct Energy had a workshop/conference in which (28) corporations/companies/ universities were invited. Ron Magnes was commissioned to create their logos in a Warhol “pop art” style and the participants were given the framed logos at the end of the event. Great idea and a fun project! Cash America Annual Report by George Schill

George Schill was commissioned to create a cover and six illustrations for the Cash America International Annual Report. The first image is the cover and the others are examples of three inside illustrations. The client came up with a group of themes for the art – Customers, Innovation, Difference, Team, Image, and Shareholders and after George provided color concept sketches and the usual revisions all of the art was submitted in digital format. The client was extremely happy with the results and also with George’s conceptual ideas and expertise!

Technical Art by Ron Magnes

It doesn’t happen often but at times a client needs a technical illustration. Ron Magnes is very adept at taking technical information and coming up with an informative illustration that explains a process or diagram that can be easily understood by the reader. Recently a client needed an illustration of a water treatment plant to be used in a brochure for the PPG Marine Coatings Division. This is the final technical illustration that Ron created for the brochure.
