Larry Jones created a series of (24) historical characters for a novelty fortune-telling game called “The Decider” ┬áKind of like a magic 8-ball but with a little ball that lands in one of 5 humorous yes or no answers that the famous person may answer. These are some of the fun characters that he created!

There are times when an illustrator is asked to audition for a project – never a popular idea with artists – especially when there is no fee involved! Since Dora is so high profile Phil Wilson decided it was worth the opportunity. In the end he was not selected but these xerox copies of his layouts show he was certainly capable of illustrating the characters!

Dynamite Doodles Book by Peter Grosshauser

Over the last few years Peter Grosshauser has illustrated many doodle, maze, & puzzle books for children. This is a recent one that was completed for Publications International. It’s a Doodles to Go! book for kids that contains well over one hundred illustrations and is chock full of doodle projects for children to complete. They can sketch, use grids to copy drawings, make sticker designs, and use all kinds of fun supplies to create their own doodles. Enclosed are two pages from the book using Peter’s fun and zany characters!
