There are times when an illustrator is asked to audition for a project – never a popular idea with artists – especially when there is no fee involved! Since Dora is so high profile Phil Wilson decided it was worth the opportunity. In the end he was not selected but these xerox copies of his layouts show he was certainly capable of illustrating the characters!

Dynamite Doodles Book by Peter Grosshauser
Over the last few years Peter Grosshauser has illustrated many doodle, maze, & puzzle books for children. This is a recent one that was completed for Publications International. It’s a Doodles to Go! book for kids that contains well over one hundred illustrations and is chock full of doodle projects for children to complete. They can sketch, use grids to copy drawings, make sticker designs, and use all kinds of fun supplies to create their own doodles. Enclosed are two pages from the book using Peter’s fun and zany characters!
Phil Wilson
Phil works in all traditional media, with acrylic and watercolor in conjunction with airbrush. His specialties are cartoon character design and scientific and nature illustration. His favorites are dinosaur art and Disney illustration. He has illustrated over 70 children’s books and his versatility has produced stunning art in all areas – advertising, puzzles, collector art plates, magazines, television, motion pictures, and more.
Larry Jones
Larry is an extremely versatile artist providing illustrations for all facets of our business. He has created cartoon characters, children’s illustration, mazes, board games, retro art, picturebooks, and editorial work to name a few.
